“ We were looking for a chippy that catered for Coeliacs/gluten free diet and came across this place. Popped in on a Tuesday afternoon in September. Not too busy and the guy serving was really friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered 2 fish cakes, a chicken pie and gluten free jumbo plain sausage and chips and everything was hot and very tasty. Would recommend to anyone looking for a gluten free chippy as you don't need to pre book this like some places and it's available all the time. ”

“ Staying in Crantock, fancied fish & chips, drove into Newquay and took a chance on The Harbour Chippy. Got to be honest, really nice! Chips were spot on, fish was crisp and not greasy, yeah, big fan! ”

“ The best gluten free fish and chips I’ve had. Staff were friendly and I was served very quickly. The fish and chips were cooked perfectly and full of flavour. I went back twice whilst on holiday as nothing compares to this place. ”

“ A very enjoyable take away meal and good value too. We went here on a Friday evening in October and it was quiet. We ordered two cod and chips to take away, and these were fresh cooked and ready in just over ten minutes. The lady who took our order and payment was very friendly and pleasant. We paid by card, which they accept if the cost is over £5. As of the end of October 2018, contactless payment is now available. The food was still hot when we got back to our camp site. We'd each be given a tartar sauce pouch included in the price. The fish, batter and chips were great. Only rarely have we had better fish and chips, and for what we paid it was excellent value. We did a second visit during our stay. Same good quality food. As it was a Saturday it took a little longer, but worth the wait. The fact this restaurant uses vegetable oil makes a lot of difference to the flavour too. Much more preferable to the beef flavour others have locally. The eat in restaurant was closed on our visit. It seats around 24 people in total and the shop and restaurant are step free. ”

“ The staff were friendly and the food preparation was speady. I tried the pea fritter which was very good! I also got the chips and vegan nuggets which I really enjoyed! My friend got chips with the vegan battered sausage (with curry sauce) , which she really liked. The food was very reasonably priced. The chip portions are quite big BTW! The only critisims are :no vegan mayo. ”

“ Very flavourful and of course, very fresh ingredients. Salt/vinegar was just right. Priced very reasonably as well, wait time was about 4 minutes we watched them make it in front of us so very good also. They were very hot and stayed hot for quite awhile after, we eat these on the way back from Newquay in the car. Best fish, chips and curry sauce of my life, be warned, these have actually turned me off to chips from other places they were that good. I wish the 2 chaps running the place the very best with their shop. I would highly recommend if you’re nearby! ”
